My husband is not well, and we have had to face the fact that he may not have long in this old world. How good it is to know for certain that we belong to another world because we have a wonderful, living God, who poured out his life for us. God is not only present with us now, but has promised that we shall meet him face-to-face in heaven and be with him for ever. We are not given all the details about that place, but we know for certain that God will be there to welcome us.

It may be we will need to stay here longer, but our eyes are looking ahead. For now, we can sing along with that song, “I’m just a stranger here; heaven is my home.” Only by the grace of God!

Marion...how well I understand your comment, 'My husband is not well, and we have had to face the fact that he may not have long in this old world.'
I'm so sorry you are also facing this heart break.
My husband is not well...it is so hard to see him grow weaker.

God is with you now and through all eternity. Jesus opened the door to eternal life. At the appropriate time, according to God's will, each of us can walk through.

Thank you Marian and thank your husband, for putting skin on God to so many people, not unlike my mother, her and my step dad fostered about 25 children, and adopted one of those... As her and my stepfather could not (medical reasons) have the big family that they wanted, so they reached out like God did and pulled people in off the street so to speak... and put clothes on them and stood before them, and put food before them, and gave them gifts... thank you for doing what you could...
Sounds rather like a story in the Bible doesn't it... where God wanted to throw a feast and HIS chosen ones had excuses and would not come... so he told his servants to go out into the streets and byways and and bring in Beggars and the cripples and the Lost and the unfit and the unclean and the fatherless...
